Supplements for the years after 45
Nami makes supplements for women from 45 on.
Around this age, the advice you get changes. From 50, the Dutch Health Council advises women to take extra vitamin D every day. Doctors, trainers and friends start to talk more about bones, muscles and energy. At the same time, a pharmacy shelf has dozens of jars that look alike, many with a blend of ingredients and no amounts on the front. Working out what is actually in them takes time.
We wanted a short range that is easy to compare and easy to keep up with. Each product has one clear purpose, with the amount of every ingredient on the label and on this site. You can take one on its own, or combine a few into a routine for the morning and the evening.
A name taken from Japanese.
Nami (波) is the Japanese word for wave. We chose it because the years around menopause rarely move in a straight line. Some weeks feel steady, others less so, more like a tide than a switch.
In Japan this stage of life is called kōnenki (更年期). The first character, 更, carries the meaning of change and renewal, and the word describes a period of transition rather than an end point. Anthropologists such as Margaret Lock have written about how differently women in Japan and in the West have talked about these years.
That way of looking at it is what inspired us: taking care of yourself through small, steady habits, day after day, alongside good food and movement. Nami is a Dutch brand and our supplements are made in the EU, not in Japan. The name and the wave on our labels are a nod to that way of thinking.

We started from the advice women over 45 are given.
From 50, the Dutch Health Council advises women to take extra vitamin D every day. The Dutch guideline is to eat fish once a week, preferably oily fish. And strength training and enough protein come up in almost every conversation about getting older.
Bone gives you vitamin D3 with K2. Omega and the stronger Omega Max are for the weeks without oily fish. Strong goes with strength training, and Collagen adds collagen and hyaluronic acid with vitamin C. Daily and Evening cover the basics: a multivitamin with minerals, and magnesium with vitamin B6.
What you can expect
A short range
Each product has one clear purpose. You do not need to compare twenty jars to find what fits.
Every amount on the page
Each product page shows the dose per serving and the % of the reference intake, plus the full label text. No blends with hidden amounts.
Easy to combine
The products fit into a morning and an evening routine. Combine any two and save 10%, three or more and save 15%.

Alongside the walks, the meals and the training.
Supplements are one small part of a routine. The Health Council's advice for this stage of life is mostly about food and movement: fish once a week, enough protein, at least 150 minutes of moderate activity a week and strength exercises twice a week. Our journal explains that advice, with sources.
Made in the EU, with the full label on every jar.
All our supplements are made in the EU. Each jar carries our label with the full ingredient list, the dose per serving and the warnings, and you can read the same label on every product page before you buy.
